Automatically Generate and Sending Completion Invoices

By default, completion invoices will be created manually, from a Sales Progression page. However, you also have the option of automating this process, so completion invoices can be created and sent when you mark a property as exchanged or completed.

Enabling the Automated Feature

To enable this feature head to Settings (on the left side panel, at the bottom) > Company Settings > Invoice Sequencing.

Note - To access the company invoice settings you will need to be a Company admin and have a role with the permission 'Allow this user to manage company invoice settings' enabled.

For more information, see our Roles and Permissions help article.

Here you can toggle the feature on and choose when the invoice should automatically send - when you mark the property as exchanged or completed, and can also set the invoice due date

Note - If a completion invoice has already been generated prior to exchange, this feature will send a copy of that invoice and will not generate a new one or edit the due date.

Additionally you have the option to adjust the invoice due date by inputting a specific number of days post exchange or completion, effectively setting the payment due date. For example, if a sale is marked as 'exchanged' on January 10th and the due date in your settings is set as 7 days, the invoice due date would then be January 17th.

How to automatically generate and send a completion invoice

With the feature enabled, when marking a property as exchanged or completed (depending on your settings) you will see the option to choose who the invoice should be addressed to and view the details of the invoice, editing the fees if needed.

Clicking mark as exchanged / completed will generate the invoice and send it to both the vendor and vendor's solicitor automatically.

Once sent, you can see the invoice from the property page or sale page by clicking info (at the top right) > invoices. As well as your main invoices table from the left side panel.
