Completion Invoices

Within Street, for any sales property you can create upfront invoices and completion invoices. While one off invoices can also be created for both sales and lettings properties.

All three work in a similar way, allowing you to generate an invoice that uses the invoice settings and sequence as set up in your branch invoice settings.

However, completion invoices can only be created when there is an active sale on a property and will use the 'completion fees' on a sales instruction to determine what fees to display on the invoice.

Note - Upfront invoices and completion invoices are not available for lettings properties.

Creating a Completion Invoice

This article focuses on generating invoices manually however invoices can also be automatically generated and sent when marking a property as exchanged or completed if you have the 'automatically send invoices' feature toggled on in your company settings. For more information, see this help article.

To manually create a completion invoice, head to a sales progression page and click actions (at the top right) > 'generate completion invoice'.

If you see a warning explaining an upfront invoice has already been generated for this property, you may want to review the invoices from info > invoices before proceeding.

First you need to choose the due date and then select who the invoice should be addressed to, either the solicitor or vendor.

On the right hand side you will see the sales instruction fees. The only fees that will apply here are the 'completion fees'.

Finally, you can choose whether to automatically send the invoice.

If you leave the 'send invoice' toggle unchecked, the invoice will generate and you can manually send. If you tick to send, you will see an additional screen to choose who to send it to. You can also download the invoice before sending.

Once generated / sent, you can see the invoice from the property page by clicking info (at the top right) > invoices. As well as your main invoices table from the left side panel.
