Default Tenant Charges

If you manage your client accounting in Street you can add tenant charges directly from the lettings application page itself, ensuring all fees are added ahead of the tenancy starting and rent coming in.

From the lettings application page click into the Charges tile.

Note - To access the Charges tile you will need a role with the permission 'Allow this user to manage client accounting' enabled.

For more information, see our Roles and Permissions help article.

From here you'll see the options for tenant charges and owner charges. For more information on owner charges, see this help article.

Note - The tenant charges section will only become accessible after you've completed the tenancy details section of the lettings application.

Recurring Rent and Deposit Charges

With the tenancy details section complete, the Tenant Charges should show the recurring rent charge as well as the deposit charge.

Additionally, if you've set up a pro rata rent charge, due to the rent payment date and tenancy start date being different, you will see that charge as well.

If needed you can click the three dot menu on the right to edit or void the charges.

Additional Charges

As well as the rent and deposit charges, you can add additional charges using the 'add charge' button at the top right. From here you can set up one off or recurring charges.

Completing the Charges tile

With all of your charges added click the 'mark as complete' button on the charges tile and the charges will generate on the owner ledger, ready to be allocated to via Allocate Funds when money is available.
