Broker Referral (Consumer App)
Buyers can request a mortgage referral directly from the Street Consumer App, connecting them with your preferred partner broker through the Partner Platform. This gives buyers a simple way to get mortgage-ready, and gives your agency a referral opportunity from within the app.
Note - This feature is only available to buyers (sales applicants in Street) and requires the Partner Platform to be set up.
How buyers self refer to your mortgage broker
The broker referral option appears on the buyer's in the Overview tab, under the 'Our Partner Services' section. A 'Get Mortgage Ready' banner is displayed, which the buyer can tap to get started.
What the buyer fills in
After tapping the banner, the buyer is shown some information about the service before being guided through a short form covering:
Budget preferences - An opportunity to update their min and max budget as stored in Street, as well as their intended deposit amount
Employment status
Property to sell - Whether they have a property to sell, and if so, its current status (not on the market, listed with another agent, SSTC, etc)
Current stage - Where they are in the process of buying (agreement in principle, viewing properties or nothing arranged)
Property found - Whether they've already found the property they want to buy
Additional notes - Any extra information they'd like to share with the broker
Finally, the buyer confirms they're happy to submit their details to the broker.
What happens after submission
Once submitted, the broker receives the buyer's details and will contact them directly. There is no further action needed from the buyer within the app or from your agency, everything is handled by the broker and any progress or updates will show in your Referrals Reporting section in Street.
