Customising Automated Notifications for Individual Properties
Street is designed to automate as many processes as possible to give you the time to focus on other tasks. One of the most impactful automated features is Notification Preferences. Many actions in Street can trigger an automated email and/or SMS to be sent to the relevant recipients.
For example, when a viewing is booked into your diary, an email can automatically be sent to the vendor informing them that the valuation is booked and providing any additional information such as date and time.
What notifications are sent and the content of them can be edited at both branch and company level. However you can also toggle many notifications on or off for an individual property, giving you more control. For example you may have a vendor that wants to be updated on everything that happens with their property but another might just want the basics. Street allows you to give both types of vendors exactly what they want.
This article focuses on how to manage notifications at an individual property but for more information on controlling this at branch or company level, see our Notification Preferences help article.
How to Customise a Property's Settings
To get started, head to the property page and select Info (at the top right) > Settings > Notifications.
From here you have granular control of what notifications are sent out by toggling on or off notifications for applicant, owner or tenant. It's important to note that that if the notification has already been toggled off at company or branch level, you will see that toggle is greyed out and cannot be selected.
It's not possible to edit notification content at property level. If a notification is toggled on at property level, it will use the branch or company notification content, depending on how you've set up your content.
Street is constantly being updated. This can mean that some of these articles become slightly out of date. If you spot something that looks a little bit different to your Street account, please let us know on the live chat so we can get it updated!
