Property EPCs

With the EPC Register integration, you don’t have to manually search for and add an EPC when adding a property, streamlining the onboarding process and saving you time. Additionally you can easily see if a property doesn’t have an in-date EPC and get one on order to ensure you and your customers are complying with the latest regulations.

It is important to note however that on some occasions, such as a new build or an unknown address, we may not be able to add the EPC directly into the property via the EPC register in which case you can still add it manually.

More information can be seen in our EPC Register Integration help article.

Note - Street does not currently support commercial EPC's, that use a different grading system to domestic EPCs. If you have a commercial EPC to add, you should add the EPC manually and enter a number value that ensures the letter rating is correct.

Adding an EPC

To add an EPC, head to a property page and click Info (top right) > EPCs.

From here you will see an existing EPCs, including ones generated via the EPC integration as well as any added manually. Alternatively, if no EPCs have been added yet the table will be empty, ready for you to add add the EPC.

New EPC details can be added by clicking the 'enter EPC details' button at the bottom right.

From here you can upload the EPC file and Street AI Document Reader will intelligently read the document and update the information on the EPC.

Note - Currently we are not able to populate the CO2 Emissions rating from the report due to changes in how the government calculates these values.

From here you also have the option to enable publishing the EPC details to the portals. If toggled on, Street will generate an EPC graph and publish it to the portal listing as well as appear in the Property API so you can display on your website.

Marking an EPC as on order

You can also mark an EPC as being order by clicking the 'mark EPC as on order' button.

Clicking this button doesn't action anything in Street and doesn't send any notifications, it's purpose is to leave a log of when that EPC was ordered for historic reference.

Additionally, if you have the EPC step enabled in your property onboarding workflow, marking an EPC on order will allow you to proceed past this step on the workflow.

Managing Existing EPCs

Should you need to delete / remove an EPC, simply click the 'delete' button on the right hand side of the relevant EPC.

To edit an existing EPC, click the report date and you can make amendments to the ratings. From here you will see the same page as when adding an EPC, allowing you to edit the energy efficient and CO2 emissions ratings, upload the PDF report, add the EPC URL and set a report date.

Tracking Expiring or Expired EPCs

From the Task Management page you will see a Property Compliance tile that will show any properties with an expiring or expired EPC, making it easy to stay on top of property compliance.

Withdrawing listings without an EPC

Within your company general settings you have the option to enable a feature that will withdraw and remove a listing without an EPC. If enabled, when a property is listed without a valid EPC, the listing will automatically be withdrawn if a valid EPC is not added within 28 days.

Street is constantly being updated. This can mean that some of these articles become slightly out of date. If you spot something that looks a little bit different to your Street account, please let us know on the live chat so we can get it updated!
