Within your Company Settings you can add the areas that your agency covers which are used when registering applicants and entering their requirements, as well as property matching.

You will be able to tick the areas your applicant is interested in when registering them so the property matches they receive will be as accurate as possible.

How to create an Area

Head to Settings > Company Settings > Areas.

Click 'add area' and add in your area's name. You also have the option to assign any valuers that cover that particular area. This is helpful as if you have online valuation booking enabled, if a property falls in one of these patches it will book in the valuation with the assigned valuer.

The next step is to draw the plot area. You can either enter a postcode and load the boundaries from that or manually draw the area on straight onto the map.

Once you have added the boundaries or drawn them on click 'Save'.

How to edit or delete an Area

You can edit an existing area from within areas in company settings by clicking 'update plot'. This will allow you to re-enter postcode or re-draw the area. You can also click the pencil icon to edit the area name and valuers or click the bin icon to delete an area.

When you have added all of your areas, you can choose which areas to include within your branch via Branch Settings > Areas.

These areas will also now appear in a list for you to choose from when registering an applicant, to highlight their areas of interest.

Migrating to Street with Bridge?

If you are using Bridge to Migrate to Street it is important to have equivalent areas in Street as your current system.

During Bridge you will map your areas like for like, this is so your applicants requirements are correct when they are imported to Street.

As an example, if you currently have an area labelled 'Manchester City Centre' in your current system, you will need a 'Manchester City Centre' area adding to Street.

Please note, if you see an error stating 'This property does not belong to an area' it may be outside of your boundary.

Street is constantly being updated. This can mean that some of these articles become slightly out of date. If you spot something that looks a little bit different to your Street account, please let us know on the live chat so we can get it updated!
