Areas in Street

Street allows you to setup specific areas (such as postcodes or something more bespoke like central Manchester). These areas can then be used when registering applicants to ensure you have marked their areas of interest which will impact the property matches they receive.

This article explains how areas work at a branch level but it's important that you have actually drawn the areas at company level first. See our Areas (Company) help article for more information on this.

Areas at branch level

Head to Settings (left side panel at the bottom) > Branch Settings > Areas.

Note - You will need to be a branch or company admin to access Areas in branch settings.

Here you will see a dropdown to select which areas that you setup at company level should be used for that branch. You can either go through manually and select each area that your branch deals with (useful for multi branch agencies) or select the 'toggle all areas' to select every area that's been setup at company level (useful for single branch agencies).

When you've selected the areas relevant to your branch, you will see them display below the drop down. You can always remove an area from your branch by clicking the 'X' icon on that area.

Don't forget to click 'save areas' to save them into your branch settings!

Areas, Applicants and Property Matches

These areas will now appear in a list for you to choose from when registering an applicant, to highlight their areas of interest.

Additionally, when running an applicant or property match, you can choose to only include applicants or properties that are within the areas that applicant is interested in / the property is within.

Properties are automatically assigned to the area/s they are located in, so you don't need to do this manually.

For more information on matching, see our Applicant to Property and Property to Applicant matching help articles.

Street is constantly being updated. This can mean that some of these articles become slightly out of date. If you spot something that looks a little bit different to your Street account, please let us know on the live chat so we can get it updated!
