What is Calendar Integration?
With Street you can integrate your external personal calendar into your Street calendar, providing a two-way sync where events created in Street will populate into your external calendar and vice versa.
What calendars do you integrate with?
Currently, Street supports integration from iCloud / iCal, Gmail, Office 365, Microsoft Exchange and Outlook.
Note - It is not possible to integrate more than one external calendar into Street.
How do events show in Street and external calendar?
The Street calendar integration is a two-way integration. Events created in your Street calendar, whether manual events such as a team meeting or appointments such as viewings or valuations will show in your external calendar.
When creating an event in an external calendar, you can usually choose whether it's "public" or "private". Public events will show in Street with the name and description of the event showing in the Street calendar. Private events will still pull through but will show show as Busy in your Street calendar, ensuring the details remain confidential.
Note - Users in Street can view calendars of all other users, regardless of admin level / roles / permissions. If you have events in your external calendar that you do not want colleagues seeing, ensure you set the event as Private in your external calendar.
When an event has been pulled through from your external calendar into Street you will not have the usual option of deleting the event from your Street calendar. If you need the event removing from Street you will need to delete it from your external calendar.
How do recurring events show?
Currently recurring events created in Street will not show in your external calendar. However recurring events created in your external calendar will show in Street as expected, with each recurring event showing at the relevant date and time.
How do I setup the integration?
To setup the integration, go to Settings (on the left side panel at the bottom) > My Settings > Integrations.
Click on Calendar Integration, select Configuration tab and click Connect to begin the setup. You will be asked to select your email provider and choose which account to link.
Once linked, you will be taken back to the Settings page where you will need to go back to Configuration and select which calendar within your calendar account to sync to. When ready, click save and follow the instructions.
Once complete, you should see this page confirming that your connection has been established.
With the integration setup you will see a few additional options.
Firstly you will see the 'Refresh Events' button. This is useful if there's a delay and you need to manually refresh your events and pull through any missing events.
Disconnecting your external calendar from Street
Secondly you'll have the option of disconnecting your external calendar from Street. To do this click the 'click here' text to stop syncing where you can choose whether to remove external events. If ticked, all external events that have been imported from your external calendar into Street will be removed. If left unticked, your external calendar will still disconnect from Street but all existing events that have imported will remain in place.
