Setting up Email Signatures within Street

Each user within Street can set up their own email signature individually from their settings section, allowing them to control how their emails look when sending to clients.

Branch and company admins can also set up user's email signatures from the User Management settings. For more information, see our User Management help article.

To get started, head to the left side panel, head to Settings (on the left side panel, at the bottom) > My Settings > Email Signatures.

Note - To access email signatures you must have a role with the permission 'Allow this user to manage email signatures' enabled. For more information, see our Roles and Permissions help article.

From the Email Signatures page you will see any existing signatures you've created.

Managing your Signatures

You can edit/delete existing signatures using the pencil and bin icons. You can also choose which signature should be your primary signature by clicking the 'make primary' text. Whichever signature is marked as primary will be used by default when sending an email in Street however this can be changed if needed.

Adding New Signatures

Click the 'add new signature' button to set up a new signature. When adding/editing a signature, you have three options of adding content.

  • Paste existing signature content

  • Paste the raw HTML from your email client

  • Start from scratch using the formatting options

Pasting Existing Content

If you are pasting an existing signature in, you can simply copy from your email client and paste into Street. However it's important to note that the formatting may not copy over exactly, depending on how the signature was set up in your email client so you may need to make manual edits within Street.

Note - If you are pasting images, they need to be publicly hosted or your signature will just return an empty image.

Pasting the raw HTML

If you have access to the raw HTML from your email client you can copy and paste this directly into Street by clicking the 'code view' icon (that looks like </>).

Once selected, paste the HTML content in and click the 'code view' icon again and your signature should populate. If it fails to generate or shows an error, this is most likely because of the HTML content so you should check with your team that this is correct.

Starting from scratch in Street

If you plan to build your signature in Street directly, you can use the formatting options at the of the signature section to setup and format your signature.

Preview Signature

With a signature written you can click the 'send preview email' button to see what it looks like before saving it.

You'll receive an email to the email you use to login to Street to see how it looks.

When you're happy, click the 'save email signature' button to save it.

Email Signature Settings

Within the email signature settings area, there is an option to remove the dashes that show above the actual signature in the email.

Warning - Enabling this toggle will remove the '--' line that precedes the email signature however this feature is common practice adopted by many email clients, such as Gmail, and while there's no technical requirement to keep them, it's generally recommended not to remove them. For more information, see the disclaimer.

Choosing your Signature

Once you have a signature saved, you can choose which signature to use when sending an email through Street - look for the signature drop down at the bottom left of the email box.

Note - Your signature won't show in the body of the email itself, however it will apply when the email is sent.
