Safety Certificates

Managing certificates is just one of the ways that Street helps an agent stay compliant. You can review your stored certificates at any time, but Street will also flag to you in various ways if a certificate is due to or has already expired.

You can set what safety certificates should be required on a per property basis, from the property details.

Safety Certificates Table

From the left side bar, under Property Management, you will see the Compliance tab. Clicking into this will take you to the main safety certificates table where you can see a list of all safety certificates across all properties showing key details including the certificate type, expiry date, status, create tasks and more. The table can be filters and export using the export to CSV button at the top right.

Note - To access the export to CSV button you will need a role with the permission 'Allow this user to export data from Street' enabled.

For more information, see our Roles and Permissions help article.

For any expiring or expired certificates you'll see an option to create a maintenance job directly from the table, allowing you to instruct a contractor to carry out the necessary checks and provide a certificate.

From the three dot menu on the right hand side you can renew a certificate without creating a job, by uploading the new certificate file. Street AI Document Reader will read the relevant details and populate the dates for you.

You also have the option of marking it as not renewing, useful if you are no longer managing the property and editing or deleting the certificate.

Properties Missing Certificates table

You will also see a tab for properties missing certificates. This page will show a table of all properties with at least one missing certificate, making it easy to keep track and remain compliant.

Task Management

Within your Task Management page you will see a tile for Property Compliance. Here you can quickly identify any certificates that need attention, whether they are expiring or are missing entirely.

These links will take you back to the relevant tables above for quick access.

Property Safety Certificates

Each property also has its own dedicated safety certificates page. On the property page scroll down until you see the Safety Certificates card on the right hand side where you can see the status of any certificates and click 'view all certificates' for a more detailed breakdown.

This will take you to a similar table as the main safety certificates table, showing a breakdown of all certificates on that property, with the same actions from the three dot menu.

Adding a Safety Certificate

You can also add additional safety certificates, including common ones such as Gas Safety, Electrical (EICR), smoke & CO2 alarms, and legionella, as well as less common such as chimney sweep and damp proof.

From the property safety certificate table click the 'add safety certificate' button at the top right. This works the same way as renewing a certificate by uploading the new certificate file and Street AI Document Reader reading the relevant details and populate the dates for you.

Note - It is not possible to add your own certificate type, you would need to choose from the list in the drop down. If you have a request to add a new certificate type, please get in contact with the Street Support team through live chat.

You can also create a maintenance job for a safety certificate directly from the main maintenance job workflow by selecting 'certificate renewal'.

Upon completing the job, you will be asked to upload the certificate file which will create a new certificate for the property.
