Once you have booked your valuation appointment and completed the pre-valuation research (optional), it's now time to attend!
On the day of your valuation, similarly to all of your other upcoming appointments, you will see all of your appointments for today on a quick view via the Calendar icon in the top right of your screen.
During the valuation you have two options - you can use the Street Agent app to record details of the valuation that will feed directly into Street, or you can record the details manually in a notepad for example and then type these into Street after.
We would highly recommend making use of the Street Agent app here as all the details and notes you make will automatically appear in Street and you can even send the valuation report from the app should you choose to.
Using the Street Agent app during a valuation
Logging into the agent app you will see your upcoming appointments in the 'appointments' tab where you will see the valuation appointment:
Clicking the 'start' button will begin the valuation on the app.
When you start the appointment, it will also have an SOS button.
Valuation Appointment Tab
Clicking into the valuation will load the 'appointment' tab for that valuation, showing the details of the valuation, including the sellers details where you can make a call or send an SMS directly via the app. You can also see the address and click the 'navigate' button to open your device's map and get directions to the address.
Valuation Property Tab
The property tab shows the details of the property including plot area, bedrooms and bathrooms and EPC details. You can click the 'edit details' buttons to update details such as the property type, number of years owned, any work undertaken as well as the desired timeframe to, and reason for, selling / letting.
Valuation tab
The valuation tab will show the details of any pre-valuation research you completed or will just show blank if this wasn't completed.
Notes tab
The notes tab will show any notes saved against the property or the valuation in Street. If you are looking to record notes from the valuation, you should use the 'valuation notes' section which, once saved, will immediately feed into your Street system to review post valuation.
Ending the valuation
When you are finished, you can click the 'end valuation' button at the bottom of the screen, which will mark it as having 'gone ahead' in Street.
At this stage, in the agent app, you will be asked to the sales valuation, fees and lettings valuation, whichever are required. You can then either submit the valuation or save as a draft.
Submitting the valuation via the app
Clicking 'submit valuation' will allow you to send the valuation report to the owner directly from the app. You will be presented with the valuation template (which can be edited) and sending options, allowing you to choose whether to email the owner, set a schedule for when to send and whether you want to hide the fees on the valuation.
Save the valuation as a draft
If you choose to save as draft, the details you've entered will store in the valuation in Street, ready for your to send the report when you're back in the office and you can always make amendments to the report.
