Carrying Out a Valuation using the Street Agent App
Once a valuation has been booked in you can use the Street Agent App to assist with the viewing.
After logging into the agent app you will see your upcoming appointments in the 'Home' tab. If the valuation is your next appointment it will show here otherwise you can go to the 'Calendar' tab to access the valuation appointment.
Clicking into the appointment from the calendar tab will show some key details including the date and time, address and any notes saved on the valuation and the property in Street.
It's also possible to rearrange or cancel the valuation appoint from here by clicking the three dot menu at the top right.
Appointment Tab
Clicking into the valuation will load the full details including the vendor's details where you can make a call or send an SMS directly via the app. You can also see the address and click the 'navigate' button to open your device's map app and get directions to the address and cancel the appointment if needed using the cancel button.
Property Tab
The property tab will show any details already added in Street about the property including the property type and number of bedrooms and bathrooms, the desired sell/let timeframe and reason for selling/letting and EPC details. However you can also click the 'edit details' button to update these details during the valuation if any information is incorrect (except for EPC which cannot be edited from the app).
Valuation tab
The valuation tab will show the details of any pre-valuation research you completed, as well as any notes on the research. If you didn't complete this step this will just show blank instead.
Notes tab
The notes tab will show any notes saved against the property or the valuation in Street. If you are looking to record notes from the valuation, you should use the 'valuation notes' section which, once saved, will immediately feed into your Street system to review post valuation.
Spectre Data Tab
If you are a Spectre customer, you will also see the Spectre Data tab. Here you can see a quick breakdown of some key details such as the estimated sale / rental value and the year built as well as any nearby listings and completions - giving you additional information during the valuation.
If you're interested in seeing how Spectre works you can book a demo in with the team here.
Starting the valuation appointment
When ready simply click the 'start' button which will start the appointment in the app. From here you may be switching between the various tabs, editing property details and making notes etc.
It's also important to highlight that when you start the appointment, you will see the SOS button at the bottom of the screen which can be used to trigger a warning in Street to alert your colleagues that something is wrong.
Ending the valuation
When you are finished, you can click the 'end valuation' button at the bottom of the screen, which will mark it as having 'gone ahead' in Street.
At this stage in the agent app, you will be asked to the sales and/or lettings valuation and fees, whichever are required as well as any additional notes. You can either fill this in via the app and choose to submit to Street or save as a draft, or skip the step and add via Street later.
Submitting the valuation via the app
If you choose to complete the valuation details and click 'continue' you can then choose to send the valuation report to the owner directly from the app.
You will be presented with the valuation template (which can be edited) and sending options, allowing you to choose whether to email the owner, set a schedule for when to send and whether you want to hide the fees on the valuation.
Alternatively you can choose to save as draft. The details you've entered will store in the valuation in Street, ready for you to send the report when you're back in the office and you can always make amendments to the report.
Whether you choose to save as a draft or send to the owner there and then, you're all finished with the valuation appointment in the app!
The next step will be to send the valuation report via Street or await the vendor's response!
