Lettings Invoicing
The Lettings Invoicing section gives you a central place to view, manage, and send all invoices related to your lettings properties. You can track outstanding amounts, filter by status or type, mark invoices as paid, and export data to your accounting software.
Before you get started with lettings invoicing, there are a few important settings to setup. Company Invoice Settings is required to determine the invoice prefix and number for your lettings invoices. Branch Invoice settings are also required to determine which sequence should be used for the branch as well as the various payment details.
With invoice sequencing and invoice settings setup, head to Settings (left side panel at the bottom) > Company Settings > Accounting > Setup. Here you will see the lettings invoice settings area where you can select which invoice settings should be used for lettings for each branch in your network.
There are some additional settings in Payment Advice and Statements around including invoices in these emails and consolidating them. For more information, see this help article.
Viewing Lettings Invoices
To view your lettings invoices, head to the Invoices tab (on the left side panel, at the bottom) and select the Lettings Invoicing tab.
The lettings invoices list shows all invoices, that are payable to your agency. Each row shows the invoice number, the property and tenant it relates to, the invoice date, due date, type, amount, and current status. Clicking the invoice number opens the PDF.
By default, it displays Unpaid and Overdue invoices so you can quickly see what needs attention however you can adjust the filters as needed, including branch, status, due date and more. You can also use the search function at the top right to search by invoice number or property address.
Invoice statuses
The invoice status will depend on the due date and state of allocation:
β
Overdue = The charge date is in the past and has not been fully allocated
Unpaid = The charge date is in the future and has not been fully allocated
Paid = The charge has been fully allocated
Exporting Invoices
You can use the Export button at the top of the invoices list to export your invoices and select which format, choosing between Xero, Quickbooks or CSV. The export includes invoice number, property, dates, type, net amount, VAT, total, paid date, status, and assignee.
Note - To access the Export button you will need a role with the permission 'Allow this user to export data from Street' enabled.

Invoices on ledgers
As well as the lettings invoice table, you can view invoices on an individual ledger. Head to the relevant ledger, click the three dots on the right hand side and then click 'view invoice'.
It's important to remember that this option will only appear on charges made payable to the agency.
