Bulk Export Data

While Street allows you to send bulk emails to clients via the Broadcast feature as well as bulk emails to enquiries via the Enquiry Centre, we understand there is also a demand to export data to manage externally to Street, possibly to use use a mail merge service such as Mailchimp to contact your clients in bulk.

Most data tables in Street have the option to export data however this is permission based to prevent unauthorised exporting of data.

Accessing the 'Export to CSV' Button

Within any area of exporting within Street, the permission must be provided to the specific user to allow them to Export to CSV.

This is accessible within the User Management Settings. To get here, on the left of your screen under Admin, head to Settings > Account Administration > User Management.

Upon selecting the user in which to provide the permission to, under Permissions, you will see the option to allow this user to export data from Street.

A simple way to check if you have the permission enabled is to head to the Properties tab and next to the 'add a property' button, you will see the 'export to CSV' button is available:

You would need to be a Company/Brand Admin in order to set these permissions for others within the business. This means if you cannot see the button above, you would also need to consult a Company/Branch Admin to be provided with permission.

Exporting as a CSV File

Most areas within your Street account will give you the facility to Export the data from that area, such as properties, applicants, tenancies etc. If the data can be exported, you will have visibility of that 'export to CSV' button .

Note - If you have the export permission enabled but cannot see the 'export to CSV' button, it means this table of data cannot be exported.

Clicking the 'export to CSV' button will then download the data within your browser, exporting the relevant data from that table.

Performing a mail merge

Once you have exported the data, you can run a mail merge to bulk email. Below are a couple of example instructions for how to do this:
