Objective

Leverage the StructShare ‘Line Items’ tool for insights into your historic orders

Background

One of the primary values of having a centralized, collaborative, cloud-based purchasing and material management system is that you can easily go back and look at the details of past orders, and leverage these insights to enhance your workflows and best practices over time. StructShare’s ‘Line Items’ tool is a powerful feature that allows you to leverage aggregations and filters to make sense of your data. You also have the ability to export the records in this tool, and run additional reports from excel.

Accessing and Navigating the Tool

  • Access the tool by clicking on the ‘Line Items’ icon () on the left side of the screen.

  • Several tabs at the top of the tool will allow you to choose what order type you wish to explore.

    • Today, Purchase Orders, Field Requests, and RFQs are available.

Using Aggregations

  • Aggregations will allow you to compartmentalize the results in the ‘Line Items’ around shared criteria, like a project, a cost code, and an item name.

    • Once aggregated, you can drill into a compartmentalized section by click on the dropdown arrow next to the aggregation header

Using Filters

  • Unlike aggregations, filters will actually remove datasets that you do not wish to see from the ‘Line Items’ results.

    • You can apply multiple filters at once to precisely analyze your order data

Exporting Data

  • To export data, click on the cloud icon
