Objective

Adding a contact to a supplier organization, so they can be selected for orders, and receive material-related communication from StructShare.

Background

This article may have taught you how to create a supplier company already. Now it’s time to add contacts to this organization. Contacts can receive email and chat communications from StructShare to ensure that they are kept in the loop to best accommodate your material needs.

Things to Consider

  • Admin Permissions

    • Admin Permissions are required to create new supplier contacts

  • To import a list of Supplier Contacts, read this article

Adding a Supplier Contact

  1. Click on 'Supplier Contacts' from the menu bar on the left hand side

  2. Click on the '+' sign next to 'Suppliers' on the top left of the screen o 'Add New Supplier'

  3. Click ‘Add Supplier’.

  4. Select the Supplier 'Organization' under 'Company' that this contact is associated to

  5. Enter the user-specific information

    1. Email where StructShare communication will be sent

    2. First and Last Name

    3. Phone Number

    4. Whether this contact is Sctiv for Orders/RFQs (vs. an accounting contact)

    5. Auto CC on orders allows this contact to be automatically copied on all order ahwn the selected Supplier 'Organization' is chosen during order creation.

  6. Click ‘Add Contact
