Objective

This article will breakdown what each Column header means so that you have a full understanding of the information available.

Background

In StructShare you have the ability to set up individual supplier catalogs so you can better track supplier item prices, trends, and verbiage. There are some key terms within the Supplier Catalogs interface that we will define so that you have a full understanding of everything being tracked.

Things to Consider

  • ‘System Admin’ permission is needed to create a new Warehouse in StructShare

Defining Each Column within Warehouse Items page

  • Item Name - Will house the supplier item name. Ideally, this entry will match the supplier item name found in their invoice.

  • Ref Item - Ref Item connects your Item Database item record to the supplier record. This ensures that supplier-specific pricing can be associated with a material requested by your field teams.

  • SKU - This is the supplier’s code identifier. They might use this to keep track of their materials. This column can be sourced into the supplier PO PDF.

  • Units - The units of measure for the item

  • Supplier Catalog Price - This is the posted price in the supplier’s in-house catalog. This might be visible in resources provided to you by your suppliers.

  • Company Catalog Price - This connects your Supplier Catalog to price data stored in your item database. This section is primarily used by companies who track commodity pricing and is coupled with a system setting.

  • Price per Day - This field tracks rental materials specifically. This will account for the daily cost of a rented tool or piece of equipment.

  • Discount - Track your supplier-specific discounts here. You can track the discount against the Supplier Catalog price or the Company Catalog price.

  • Net Price - This will show the actual cost of the materials, after accounting for the discount.

  • Last Price - This field will track the last price the at which a material was purchased from a supplier. Note that hovering over the field will show a price change history.

  • Model - Track the item’s model number here. This is usually associated with the item manufacturer.

  • Manufacturer - Track the item’s manufacturer in this field.

  • UPC - Use this field to track the product’s universal code. This is usually associated with the item manufacturer.

  • Updated At - This field will show the last time the line item was modified.

  • Updated By - This field will show the last user to add or modify the item.

  • Supplier Company - Indicates which supplier the catalog record is associated with.

  • Lead Time - This field can be used to track the anticipated delay when ordering the specified material from your supplier.

  • Image URL - This field can be used to show an item image when ordering from a supplier’s catalog.
