How to Add Discount Categories

Discount Categories help you organize and apply discounts efficiently based on job types and pricing structures. This setup ensures consistency across projects and allows teams to quickly select or create relevant discount categories during configuration.

Follow the steps below to create and manage Discount Categories within the system.

Creating a Discount Category from the Database

Step 1: Navigate to "Database" from the "Manage Database" section.

Step 2: From the left-hand panel, locate "Discount Categories." From the dropdown, select the job type for which you want to apply the discount category. In this instance, we have selected "Solar Discount Category."

Step 3: Click on "Add."

Step 4: From the dropdown, select the “Parent category.”

Step 5: Enter the “Name” of the discount category.

Step 6: Click on "Add" to finalize and save your changes.

Applying or Creating Discount Categories from the Discount Section

When navigating to the Discount section, you can either select an existing discount category created earlier or create a new category directly from this section.

Step 1: From the dropdown, select the discount category you previously created.

Step 2: In the next field, select the Discount Sub-Category.

Step 3: If you wish to create a new category, select "Add New Category" from the dropdown.

Step 4: A new tab will open. Enter the “Parent Category” and “Name,” as outlined earlier, and then click "Add" to save the new category.
