How to Map and Group Checkboxes in SubHub Sign Templates

Updated over 2 weeks ago

SubHub Sign's grouped checkbox feature allows you to organize related checkboxes in document templates and apply shared validation rules across them. Follow the steps below to set up checkbox grouping.

Step 1: From your SubHub Sign template, click “Checkbox” on the right and drag it to add the field to the template.

Step 2: Click the plus sign to add new checkboxes to the same group.

Note: Checkboxes inside one group will be highlighted in the same colour and surrounded by a border.

Step 3: To add validation rules to a group of checkboxes, open the “Validation” dropdown on the right. Select a validation rule from the "Validation" dropdown and select the number of checkboxes that are required to meet the rule from the "Number" dropdown. For example, choosing “Select at least” and setting the number to 2 means that when signing, the recipient must select at least 2 of the checkboxes.

Note: If, when signing, the recipient does not meet the validation rule, they will be redirected to the group and will not be able to finish the signing process until the validation is met.

Step 4: To make an individual checkbox mandatory, select the checkbox. On the right, open the “Sender Permission” dropdown and mark the “Mandatory” checkbox.

Step 5: To set a value or tooltip for the checkbox, open the “Checkbox Values” dropdown and enter the label.
