How To Enable And Use Energy Insight

This feature helps streamline your daily operations in SubcontractorHub. Setting it up correctly saves your team time, reduces manual work, and keeps your projects running smoothly from start to finish.

What You'll Need

  • Admin access to SubcontractorHub

  • A web browser (Chrome or Edge recommended)

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1

Navigate and click on the “Hi, username” in the top right corner of your home page.

Step 2

Click on“Settings.”​

Step 3

Scroll down your settings list to find “Energy Insight Settings”.

Step 4

Click the “Edit” button.

Step 5

Turn on the toggle to enable Energy Insight and click “Update”.Note:You can choose to include Energy Insight in the consumption profile as well as the perfect packet. Turn on the toggle next to “Is Energy Insight Perfect Packet Required” to add it to the perfect packet checklist. If this setting is enabled, the contract cannot be signed until the Energy Insight Perfect Packet is verified.​Turn on the toggle next to “Show Connection Buttons in Consumption Profile” to add accurate energy data to your consumption profile. Click on the Customer tab from the main menu and select your customer.

Step 7

Click on the “View Details” button on the proposal card.

Step 8

After completing your solar design, click on the “Consumption Profile” button.

Step 9

You can find two buttons at the top. The “Send Energy Insight Form To Customer” sends a connection request to the customer, while the “Create Energy Insight Connection” allows you to create a connection within SubcontractorHub itself.​

Step 10

Click the “Create Energy Insight Connection” button.

Step 11

Click “Continue”.

Step 12

Select your energy provider.

Step 13

Enter your customer’s username and password. Click “Submit”.

Step 14

Click “Fetch Actual Consumption Data”.

Step 15

Click “Submit”.

Step 16

The actual energy data will be automatically updated in the consumption profile. You can compare the estimated data with actual data as well as as refresh the actual consumption data.

Step 17

Click “Save”.Note:You can also create an energy insight connection in your perfect packet checklist. Simply click “Create a connection”. The rest of the steps are the same as mentioned above.​Note:If the Energy Insight connection fails, an error banner will now appear directly in the Consumption Profile.
