How to create an Upload Receipt rule

Introduction

Bridge online and offline purchases by allowing customers to upload receipts from retail stores. They earn points based on their in-store purchase amount.

Enabling Upload Receipt

Step 1: Create the Rule

Go to Subscribfy > Loyalty > Rewards Program tab > Create new rule > Upload Receipt

Step 2: Configure Basic Settings

Name

Display name (e.g., "In-Store Purchase Reward")

Points per dollar

Points awarded per dollar on receipt

Maximum points

Maximum points per receipt (optional)

Step 3: Configure Approval Settings

Auto-approve

Automatically approve receipts or require manual review

Accepted retailers

List of accepted store names (optional)

Step 4: Save

Click Save and make sure the rule status is ON.

How It Works

  1. Customer purchases your product at a retail store

  2. Customer uploads photo of receipt in their account

  3. Receipt is reviewed (auto or manual)

  4. Points are credited based on purchase amount

Customer Experience

Customers can upload receipts from their loyalty account page. They'll see:

  • Upload button to add receipt photo

  • Status of submitted receipts (pending/approved/rejected)

  • Points earned from approved receipts

Klaviyo Integration

If you have Klaviyo connected, Subscribfy sends a Subscribfy Upload Receipt Event when a receipt is approved.

Troubleshooting

Receipt rejected?
Ensure the receipt clearly shows the store name, date, and purchase amount. Check that the retailer is in your accepted list if configured.
