How to create a Create Account rule

Introduction

Encourage visitors to become members by offering points when they create an account. This helps build your customer base and enables you to engage with them through your loyalty program.

Enabling Create Account Reward

Step 1: Create the Rule

Go to Subscribfy > Loyalty > Rewards Program tab > Create new rule > Create Account

Step 2: Configure Basic Settings

Name

Display name shown to customers (e.g., "Welcome Bonus")

Reward Amount

Points to award (e.g., 100 points)

Reward Message

Message customers see when they earn the reward

Step 3: Configure Advanced Settings (Optional)

Customer tags

Include or exclude customers by their Shopify tags

Schedule

Set start and end dates for the rule

Tier restriction

Limit which tiers can earn this reward

Step 4: Save

Click Save and make sure the rule status is ON.

When Points Are Awarded

Points are awarded automatically when a customer creates an account through:

  • Your store's registration page

  • Checkout (if account creation is enabled)

  • Customer portal sign-up

Note: This is a one-time reward. Customers can only earn it once.

Retroactive Rewards

When you enable this rule, you can choose to retroactively reward existing customers who already have accounts. This is optional and can be configured when setting up the rule.

Klaviyo Integration

If you have Klaviyo connected, Subscribfy sends a Subscribfy Create Account Event when a customer earns the signup reward.

Troubleshooting

Customer didn't get points?
Check that the customer created an account (not guest checkout). Verify the rule is active and the customer meets eligibility requirements.

Existing customer wants points?
If you didn't enable retroactive rewards, existing customers won't receive this bonus. Contact support for manual adjustments.
