How to integrate your media?
Note: This feature allows you to update your menu instantly, without the costs or logistics of printing paper menus.
Technical prerequisites
Before starting, ensure that your files comply with the following formats (visible in your interface):
Video: MP4 format, Portrait orientation (9:16), maximum duration of 10 seconds.
Step 1: Accessing product editing
Log in to your sunday dashboard.
Go to the section dedicated to your Menu management.
Select the product you wish to illustrate.
Step 2: Add a picture (Required)
⚠️ Important: You cannot add a video if the product does not first have a main picture.
In the "Picture" section, click on the upload area or on Click to add.
Import an appetizing photo of your dish from your device.
Step 3: Add a video
Once the photo is validated, the video option is unlocked.
Locate the Product Video section.
Click the Add a video button.
Select your file (MP4, 10 seconds max).
Pro tip: Prioritize short formats that showcase the dish in its best light ("food porn") to trigger impulse purchases.
Do not forget to save your changes. The update is immediate on your customers' phones.
Our tips for a high-performing menu
Be dynamic: You can modify your highlights according to the time of day (e.g., breakfast vs. dinner).
Manage out-of-stock items: If a product is no longer available, remove it or hide it instantly to avoid the frustration of "sorry, we're sold out."
Think about suggestions: Use visuals to highlight pairing recommendations or combo menus (upsell).
Troubleshooting / Frequently Asked Questions
Why is the "Add a video" button blocked or grayed out?
As indicated on the interface: "Please add an image for your product first in order to add a video" The system requires a static image by default (useful if the customer's connection is slow and the video does not load immediately). Add the photo first, and the video option will become accessible.
Do I need to modify my POS (Point of Sale) software?
No. These visuals are managed solely via Sunday. Your POS software continues to manage prices and orders, but sunday manages the visual experience.
