Sunday allows you to go beyond simply adding a logo. To offer a consistent end-to-end customer experience, you can now modify the visual appearance of your menu and payment interface. This strengthens your brand image and builds customer trust.
1. Accessing the customization tool
All changes are made from your Dashboard.
Log in to your Sunday account.
Click on the Appearance tab in the main menu.
2. Managing drafts and versions
To allow you to work with peace of mind, the tool includes a secure draft system.
Work risk-free: Your changes are saved as drafts. As long as you don't click "Publish", your customers continue to see the current version without any service interruption.
Version history: You have access to your design history. If a new published version doesn't suit you, you can restore a previous configuration in one click.
3. Configuring the Home Page (Logo and Cover)
The first step of customization concerns the main visual elements your customers will see upon scanning the QR code. This is where you define the atmosphere of your venue.
Logo: Import your logo (square format recommended) so it appears at the top of the payment interface.
Cover image: Add a high-quality photo (signature dish, restaurant interior) to dress up the page header. If you don't add one, the header will be simplified.
Live preview: On the right side of the screen, the smartphone visual updates in real-time to show you the final result.
4. Modifying styles and colors
Once the home page is set up, move to the next step to customize graphic details:
Fonts: You can import or select specific fonts to harmonize your menus and messages:
Headlines
Body text and emphasized text
Action buttons
Important: If you upload a custom font, the file format must be .WOFF or .WOFF2. If your font is in another format (like .TTF), we recommend using a free online converter before uploading.
Colors: Define your palette to match your brand guidelines.
Presets: You can use our pre-set "Light" and "Dark" modes (classic black and white themes) for a quick setup.
Customization: If you require more specific branding, select Custom colors to define the exact hex codes for:
Background colors
Content colors (text)
Button colors (essential for readability)
5. Customizing waiting times and marketing accents
For total immersion, Sunday allows you to configure transition screens and secondary colors.
Marketing colors: In the Marketing tab, define the background color that will be used for your advertising banners and brand messages.
Loading screen: In the Image Loading tab, customize the screen that appears during the few seconds of loading on the customer's phone. You can add your logo and a specific background color to never break the immersion.
6. Engaging your customers (Social Media and Banners)
This is where you turn payment into a marketing lever. Use the following tabs to communicate with your clients:
Brand Portal (Social Media): Activate and add links to your Instagram, Facebook, or X accounts. They will be easily accessible to your customers.
Menu Banner: Configure an advertisement visible in the burger menu (e.g., "2 burgers for 1"). You can add an image, catchy text, and a redirection link.
Post-payment Banner: This is the ideal moment to build loyalty. Display a message after payment (e.g., "Valentine's Day: Book your table") to encourage a return visit or promote an event.
7. Preview and Publish
Before making changes visible to your customers, Sunday allows you to test the result safely.
Create drafts: You can create multiple versions without publishing them immediately.
Responsive preview: Use the preview function to check how your design displays on different screens (customer smartphones, etc.).
Once satisfied with the result, click Publish to update your interface instantly.
Note: Please be aware that the preview is indicative. It may not strictly reflect 100% of the content you have currently in production (like real-time menu items), but it gives an accurate representation of the visual style.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the update immediate for customers? Yes. As soon as you click "Publish", all customers who scan the QR code will see the new interface. Those already ordering will see the change upon their next page refresh.
What image formats should I use? For optimal rendering on mobile, we recommend high-definition images (JPG or PNG). For the logo, prefer a square format. Avoid images that are too heavy, as they could slow down loading.
Can I customize the interface differently for different zones (terrace vs. inside)? No, appearance settings apply to your entire establishment (Venue) to ensure a unique and consistent brand image.
Can I use my own font? Absolutely. The tool allows you to upload custom font files if the default ones do not match your identity.
Can I go back to the previous version? Yes, thanks to the draft system, you can manage your versions. Remember to check the preview before every publication.
