Welcome to sunday! Below are answers to some of the most common questions we receive during onboarding and launch.

How long does the setup process take?

Typically, setup takes anywhere from a day to a couple weeks depending on your turn around time, configuration and POS setup. Most venues are live within one week of starting onboarding!

Our goal is to get your venue live as quickly and smoothly as possible so your team can begin experiencing the benefits of working with sunday right away.

Can my team customize the guest-facing experience?

Yes! Your team can customize the guest payment experience directly in the sunday Dashboard under the Appearance tab. Customization options can include:

  • Brand colors

  • Logos

  • Photos

  • Fonts

  • Guest messaging


🍽️ Operations & Guest Experience

How does table assignment work?

sunday syncs with your POS system in real time. Each QR code is linked to a specific table, allowing guests to securely view and pay their check.

Can servers see their tips?

Yes! Servers can view tips and performance insights directly in the sunday for Staff (SFS) app.

Can guests leave Google reviews?

Yes. Guests are prompted after payment to leave feedback and Google reviews, helping drive additional online visibility and guest engagement.

What if a guest does not have a smartphone?

No problem. Guests can always pay traditionally through the server or POS system.

Is payment data secure?

Yes. sunday uses fully PCI-compliant payment processing through Checkout.com, an enterprise-grade payment processor.

Is customer support available?

Yes! 24/7 customer support is available through:

  • The sunday for Staff (SFS) app

  • Email support

  • Text support


📊 Data & Reporting

Where can I view sales data?

All transaction and payment data is available in real time through your sunday Merchant Dashboard.

Can I export reports?

Yes. sunday supports CSV exports for line-by-line comparison with your POS reporting and operational data.


💳 Payments & Payouts

What is the digital platform fee?

sunday applies a small guest convenience fee. Historically, over 99% of guests complete payment without mentioning or objecting to the fee.

When are payouts processed?

Payouts are processed on a T+1 schedule through Checkout.com.

What happens if a customer disputes a charge?

sunday manages chargebacks on your behalf, so your restaurant team does not need to handle dispute management directly.
