What are polarised lenses?

Polarised lenses cut glare from water, roads and windscreens. They're available on Everyday sunglasses.

Polarised lenses cut glare. When sunlight reflects off flat surfaces such as water, wet roads and car windscreens, it creates harsh glare that strains your eyes. Polarised lenses filter out that glare, so you see more clearly and comfortably.

When are polarised lenses most useful?

  • When you spend hours outdoors running, hiking, sailing or fishing

  • When you drive often in bright or wet conditions

  • If you're sensitive to sunlight or prone to eye strain or migraines

Can I drive in polarised lenses?

Polarised lenses are good for driving, because they cut glare from roads and windscreens. Because of the way they filter light, they can make some head-up displays hard to see.
