Timeline - Getting Started with the Supio Timeline

Case chronologies in hours, not days.

What is the Timeline?

The Supio Timeline gives you an AI-generated medical chronology that begins populating as soon as you upload case files, no waiting days for a manual review.

Events, dates, and citations are extracted and organized from your medical records so you can make faster, more informed legal action on supported case types.

Each entry includes a day-by-day summary and citations that link directly back to the source document and page range, so your team has reliable access to structured case data from day one.

Instant Timeline vs. Verified Timeline

Instant Timeline: An AI-first, auto-generated view built from high-quality structured documents. You can access a version of your medical chronology the same day case files are added. Bills and low-quality documents that require extra review are not included at this stage.

Verified Timeline: If any documents require additional review, our review team reliably processes them. Once the Verified Timeline is ready, it publishes in your medical chronology as a new version within the same tab.

Instant Timeline

Verified Timeline

AI-first, auto-generated

Human-reviewed by the Supio team

Available same day as upload

Published within 3–6 business days (completion timeline is dependent on case file size)

High-quality structured docs only

Includes all documents (bills, low-quality scans)

Best for early case review

Best for final demand & litigation use

Once the Verified Timeline is ready, both versions are available. Toggle between them using version history in the top right of the Timeline tab.

*Note that larger cases may take longer to process

Filtering the Timeline

Use the filter tools at the top of the Timeline tab to focus on what matters most. You can filter by:

• Event type (treatment visits, diagnostics, procedures)

• Documentation type

• Date range

Filtering is especially useful for narrowing to the incident window or post-surgery recovery period.

The Timeline also includes Case Signals. A filtering tool that automatically flags missing documents, treatment gaps, aggravated injuries, and other items requiring attention. For more information, see Case Signals.

How to Use the Timeline

  1. Open the Timeline tab on a case that has medical records uploaded. Events populate in real time, larger cases may take a bit longer.

  2. Use the date and event-type filters to explore a specific treatment period. Try filtering by injury type or a specific provider facility.

  3. Click a citation in the timeline to verify it against the source document. Each event links directly to the page range in the original record.

Additional Processing and Document Verification

For any documents that need to be verified, we skip them in the first generation cycle and include them in the Verified Timeline. You can see which files were skipped in the Additional Processing Required section at the bottom of your Instant Timeline. These files are reviewed by our team and added to your Verified Timeline to maintain high accuracy and quality.

Feedback & Support

We’re continuing to improve the Instant Timeline, with upcoming enhancements focused on broader event extraction coverage, richer filtering and highlighting tools, and deeper integration with Supio’s case review and drafting workflows.
