How to use the Instant & Human Verified Chronologies in Supio

Updated over 6 months ago

Supio provides both the speed of an Instant Chronology with the accuracy of a Human-Verified Chronology, both of which are available on the Chrono tab in the Supio portal.

The Instant Timeline is available after 30-60 minutes of uploading the case into Supio, with the timing mostly dependent on the case size and number of pages uploaded for the case.

Instant Chronology

Available within 30-60 minutes after uploading case documents, Supio’s Instant Chronology provides a sequential breakdown of the events for this case in a snap!

Instant Chronologies are currently only available for MVA, Premises Liability, and Worker’s Compensation cases. Other case types will receive the Verified Chronology for other case types, but let your Customer Success Manager know if you’d like to see an Instant Chronology for a different case type.

STEP 1: Upload Case Documents

  • Give Supio 30–60 minutes to work its magic — then dive in. Your case will then be fully loaded, organized, and ready to explore in Supio.

STEP 2: Open the Chrono tab

  • Supio will populate events incrementally as the case documents are processed–shortly after being uploaded.

STEP 3: Interact with the Instant Timeline

  • Review, print, export and share the Instant Timeline generated for your case

  • You can search through the events, filter to specific documents or event types, and select specific date ranges for the Instant Timeline as well.

Don’t forget to also navigate to the Explore Tab and leverage the Prompt Library for your case, which are also available in unison with the Instant Timeline!

Verified Chronology

As soon as a new case is uploaded into Supio, Supio’s team of human reviewers in our Seattle HQ will begin verifying the Chronology, Demand, Case Economics, and more for your case.

STEP 1: Supio Notification

  • Once the Verified Chrono is complete, Supio will send an email notification to the Handling Attorney and Support Staff established for the case in Supio.

STEP 2: Open the Chrono tab

  • Supio will now default to the Verified Timeline for this case moving forward

  • You will notice many more filtering capabilities by Missing Docs, Event Type, Providers, Facilities, Date, and more.

STEP 3: Interact with the Verified Timeline

  • Review, print, export and share the Instant Timeline generated for your case

  • You can search through the events, filter to specific documents or event types, and select specific date ranges for the Instant Timeline as well.

STEP 4: Select an Event for the Detailed View

  • Click on any specific event to view a detailed version with additional details tied to provider, notes, findings, and more.

STEP 5: Identify Missing Bills and Records

  • You can select the “Missing Docs” filter to identify all the specific missing bills or missing records being surfaced by Supio to uncover hidden value or details that might have been overlooked

STEP 6: Select Blue Hyperlinks to Reference Specific Documents

  • Anywhere you see a blue hyperlink is an opportunity to reference the specific documents Supio is extracting information from.

  • This is helpful to dive deeper into the information from that document and also to validate the information yourself.

STEP 6: Open Case Signals

  • Select the green “Case Signals” button in the top right-hand corner of the Chrono tab to quickly surface Missing Documents, Aggravated Injuries, or Treatment Gaps found for your case.

STEP 7: Use Supio’s AI Assistant

  • Select the green “AI Assistant” button in the top right-hand corner of the Chrono tab to prompt against all of the medical records, bills, and events captured in the Chrono tab.

  • The AI Assistant in the Chrono tab is only querying the medical records you’ve uploaded and will exclude other kinds of documents, such as depositions, expert testimonies, etc.

  • You can chat as if you were talking to a personal legal assistant, using any prompts you’d like

  • Supio provides our Prompt Library to surface example prompts to ask the AI Assistant, which you can leverage by simply selecting “Use” on any prompt you would like to load into the chat.

  • Try out 2-3 prompts in the Prompt Library!

  • You can then save any prompt responses to a new document as you begin building out deliverables

STEP 8: Print Chrono

  • Select the “Print” button to save or print the Chrono with the option of a detailed or condensed version. The detailed timeline style includes all the details you would see in selecting an individual event on the Chrono tab.
