Need help with your Fields Mapping? Let us explain why mapping fields between your CRM and Surfe is crucial.
Surfe uses a unique method to identify contacts that are already present in your CRM.
For contacts, Surfe relies on
LinkedIn URL
LinkedIn ID
Name and surname
For companies, Surfe uses
Company website
LinkedIn URL
Company name
That's why we need your help mapping certain fields, to avoid creating duplicates (as many contacts in your CRM may share the same name and surname).
Surfe will push all information based on your mapping each time you add contacts to your CRM (individually or in bulk) and whenever you update a contact via Surfe (for example, by clicking “Update CRM” or exporting the list of contacts that are already in your CRM with Sales Navigator).
Be sure to map as many fields as possible so that Surfe can help you keep your existing records up to date.
How to Map Your Fields Mapping with Surfe?
Navigate to your Surfe Dashboard -> Fields Mapping. Here, you'll be able to customize your field mapping at the contact, lead, and company levels.
On the left side, you'll see all the information that Surfe can scrape from LinkedIn or Sales Navigator. On the right, you'll find the fields where this information will be sent in your CRM.
To map your fields, you can select them directly from the drop-down list. If a field doesn’t exist in your CRM, you’ll need to create a new TEXT/or LONG TEXT field. Once created, the new field will appear in the drop-down list in your Surfe Field Mapping.
In Fields Mapping, please note that you cannot map multi-choice or date fields (these can be mapped in Additional Fields instead). Make sure that all fields you map or create in your CRM are text types, as only text fields will appear in the drop-down list in your Surfe Field Mapping.
How to create a new field depends on which CRM you are using. Here are tutorials for each CRM we support:
Mandatory fields to map with Surfe:
LinkedIn URL (on the contact/lead/company level)
