Can I reorder a key for my battery holder?

Here we explain what you can do if you have lost your key for the battery holder.

Updated over 2 months ago

Unfortunately, it is not possible to reorder a replacement key for the battery holder. If you have lost your key, you have the following options:

1. Have a duplicate made by a locksmith:

In some cases, a locksmith can duplicate the lost key using an existing key. Whether this is possible depends on the locksmith and the type of key. We recommend contacting a specialist company directly.

2. Replacing the battery holder:

If you no longer have a key or it is not possible to have a replacement made, the only option is to replace the battery holder. When you purchase a new holder, you will automatically receive two new keys. You can purchase a new battery holder from our support team.

3. How the replacement works:

To replace the battery holder, the locked battery must be removed from the holder. This works differently depending on the SUSHI BIKE generation.

SUSHI BIKE 1st generation:

  1. Remove the battery lock – Watch this video to remove the battery lock and then remove the battery:

  2. Unscrew the battery holder – Loosen the mounting screws, disconnect all plug connections, and remove the old holder.

  3. Install new mount – Attach the new battery mount in the same place, plug in all connectors, and screw it securely in place.

  4. Reinsert battery – Snap the battery into the new mount and secure it with the new key.

  5. Don't lose the key again.

SUSHI BIKE +/3.0/3.0+ models:

  1. Remove the battery – If the battery is locked and the key is no longer available, it must be carefully levered out of the holder so that the holder can be replaced. For safety reasons, there are no detailed instructions for this.

  2. Unscrew the battery holder – Loosen the mounting screws, disconnect all plug connections, and remove the old holder.

  3. Install new holder – Attach the new battery holder in the same place, plug in all connectors, and screw it securely in place.

  4. Reinsert battery – Snap the battery into the new holder and secure it with the new key.

  5. Don't lose the key again.
