Use the Xpedition Viewer application to create and add projects that will contain schematic and layout design representations in .ccz file format to the workspace. You can also add ancillary files associated with the project to the project workspace.

Restrictions and Limitations

  • Do not enter a project name that currently exists in the collaboration space.

  • A project must have at least one user with an Administrator role (see User Roles).

  • The project name must not contain unsupported characters and not exceed 256 characters (see Naming Limitations).

Prerequisites

  • You successfully logged in to the Xpedition Viewer application.

  • The Projects page displays in the application interface (see Project Management).

Procedure

  1. Click Create New Project.

  2. In the Create New Project dialog box:

    1. Type the project name.

    2. (Optional) Type a brief narrative about the project in the Description field.

    3. (Optional) Click Choose File to browse for and select a cover image for the project or use the mouse to drag and drop an image file into the upload area in the dialog box.

    4. Click Create.

The progress indicator displays in the message box and then closes upon completion. To cancel the operation, click Close in the message box.

Results

The project name, description, creation date, and username of the project creator appears in the Projects page. You can now add ancillary files and add users from the collaboration team to the project.
