What Are Amazon Seller Promo Codes?
Promo codes (also called claim codes on Amazon) are alphanumeric codes created in Seller Central that give buyers a discount when entered at checkout. Sellers use promo codes to incentivize purchases, attract new customers, reward loyalty, and boost sales through targeted discounts.
Promo codes are one of several promotional tools available in Seller Central and are distinct from Coupons, Deals, and Price Discounts.
Benefits of Using Promo Codes
Promo codes allow sellers to:
Drive more traffic and conversions by offering visible savings
Reward specific audiences, such as email subscribers or social media followers
Track promotion performance, including redemptions and resulting sales
Control how discounts are distributed through usage limits and eligibility rules
Types of Promo Codes
1. Single-Use Codes
Each code can be redeemed only once. These are ideal for targeted campaigns, giveaways, influencer promotions, or VIP customers.
2. Group Claim Codes
A single code can be shared with multiple customers. Sellers can limit how many times each customer can redeem the code.
