Introduction

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) helps your website rank higher on Google and other search engines. On-page SEO focuses on optimizing the content and structure of your pages so they’re more visible, clickable, and relevant for the right keywords.

Meta Title & Description

Go to Website Settings → Page SEO.

Add a Page Title and Meta Description.

  • The title appears as the clickable headline in Google search results.

  • The description appears below it.

  1. Use the color bar under each field as a guide:

    • Orange/Green = optimal length

    • Red = too long (text will be cut off in search results)

Tips for Titles & Descriptions:

  • Include your main keywords (e.g., “Real Estate Agency in California”).

  • Keep it compelling and user-friendly.

  • Put keywords toward the beginning if possible.

Headings & Content Structure

  • Use proper H1–H4 tags to structure content.

    • H1 = main headline (only one per page).

    • H2–H4 = subheadings for clarity and keyword emphasis.

  • Include keywords naturally in headings and body text.

  • Keep paragraphs short and readable.

  • Use your blog for longer, keyword-rich content to attract organic traffic.

Images & Alt Text

  • Add Alt Text (descriptions) to each image.

  • Include keywords where relevant (e.g., “Modern California home exterior”).

  • Alt text helps Google index your images and improves visibility in Google Images search.

Sitemap & Sharing

  • Ensure important pages are included in the sitemap so Google can index them.

  • Add a Share Image for social media previews. Use an engaging visual with a call-to-action for better click-through rates.

  • You can set a global sharing image in General Settings.

Technical Best Practices

  • Page Speed: Keep your website fast by avoiding heavy scripts and compressing images.

  • Relevance: Make sure the content matches what users are searching for. If visitors leave quickly (high bounce rate), Google may lower your ranking.

  • Engagement: Encourage users to click through to other pages, fill out forms, or interact with your site. More engagement = better SEO signals.

Off-Page SEO (Beyond the Website)

While this guide focuses on on-page SEO, keep in mind that off-page SEO (like backlinks from other sites) also plays a huge role in rankings. The stronger your site’s reputation, the higher it will appear in search results.

By optimizing your titles, descriptions, headings, images, and content structure, you make it easier for Google to understand your site and more appealing for visitors to click. Combine this with fast-loading pages and valuable content, and you’ll be on your way to strong SEO performance.
