The Document Builder in Talisman is designed to quickly enable you to create, parse information and send out documents at every stage of your recruitment process.

To create/edit existing documents navigate to Menu -> Admin Manager -> Templates -> Documents. In the dropdown list, you can then hover over each intended recipient/stage of your process that you would like to create a document in. For example, if you want to see where your Terms of Business are are go to Contact and you will be able to hit the pencil icon for any ones you want to amend.

To create new documents, press the green "+ New" button at the top of the pop-up -> Documents -> select the type (for Terms of Business -> Contact).

In the window, the first half of the page is the naming and tagging section. This will change depending on the document you want to add, but for Terms of Business below is an example of how this can be filled out:

The second half of the window is the actual Document Builder. Most standard document actions you will be able to find at the top of the page such as Font Type/Size, Inserting Images, Tables, Find & Replace ect...

Tip - We recommend using the "Maximise" button to put your document in full screen while you are working on it.

When it comes to putting documents into Talisman - make your life easy. Any documents you have outside of the system, do a simple Copy & Paste to get as much of the document formatting into the system as possible in one swoop. From there, check the formatting and make any tweaks and changes as you go through.

Merge Codes

Once you have the foundation of the document, you can start to revise and add in the Talisman Merge Codes to make the document unique to the recipient.

Merge Codes can be added by going to the Toolbar and selecting "Merge Codes". There you will have all your fields split into the different record types. Go through the types to find the fields you want to merge into the document.

When you are ready, press "Maximise" to go back to the previous window. You can select "preview" to download an example of the template. Then "Save" once you are happy.
