Access to proper permissions in the TalkingPoints platform is important for ease of use and ensuring that all staff members have the access they need to do their jobs. To make staff management easier, we have added the ability to bulk assign or remove roles to staff members.
Screenshots below may look slightly different as TalkingPoints is constantly evolving! Don't worry, we periodically make sure our guides are up-to-date so that you have the latest how-to's.
Step 1: Click on 'Staff'.
Step 2: Use the filters to search for the staff members whose roles you would like to edit.
Step 3: Select the staff members.
Step 4: Click on 'edit role' and select 'assign' or 'remove'.
Assign a role
a. Select a role from the dropdown menu.
b. Select the school(s) where this role should be assigned to the selected staff members.
c. Click 'assign'.
Remove a role
a. Select a role from the dropdown menu.
b. Click 'remove'.
Note: All staff members must have at least one role. Any staff members who were selected and only had one role at the time of role removal will not be processed in the bulk removal. Please assign another role to these staff members before attempting role removal again.
