Learn how to help families download the Family app as a school admin!

In the School Admin dashboard, TalkingPoints provides personalized, translated letters to help introduce families to TalkingPoints, including QR codes for downloading the app. Some of our schools and organizations print these letters for distribution during enrollment, back to school, or at family-teacher conferences! Follow the steps below for how to access the letters in your account.

Families are not required to download the app to recieve messages. If you have families' information in TalkingPoints already, they will receive messages via text message automatically! However, this is a good tool to encourage using the app as it has many benefits to families.


Step 1: Click on 'Engagement Tools' on the left-hand menu.
Step 2: Select 'Family Invitations.'
Step 3: Click 'Download letter' next to the desired translated letter for families. For English, scroll down to English.

If families download the app and are being asked for a class code, they will need to wait two days for the information to sync to the app. After that, they will no longer be prompted for a class code.
