Overview
TalleFlow makes it simple to keep track of payments, whether you’re reviewing a client’s payment history or checking on payments for a specific project. All payment activity is automatically recorded and can be viewed from multiple areas in your account.
How to Track Payments by Contact
Go to the Contacts tab from the left-hand menu.
Select the contact whose payments you want to view.
Click on the Payments tab in their profile.
Here, you’ll see:
All payments received from this contact
Invoice details (including amounts and dates)
Payment status (Paid, Pending, Overdue, etc.)
How to Track Payments by Project
Go to the Projects tab and select the project you want to review.
Inside the project landing page, click on the Finance tab.
You’ll see:
All invoices for this project
Associated expenses
Net profit for the project
Payment statuses
Important Notes
Invoices can only be sent to a contact if they are linked to a project. Invoices always feed through projects and only get “sent” when a contact is attached to that project.
Payments are automatically updated in real-time if your Stripe account is connected.
If Stripe is not set up, you can still send invoices, but payments will need to be collected manually (cash, check, Venmo, Zelle, etc.) and logged in TalleFlow for record-keeping.
You can also view a full payment history across your entire business from the Finance tab in the main menu.
