To accept credit card payments from clients, you’ll need to create a Stripe Connected Account through TalleFlow. This allows TalleFlow to securely generate payment links, process transactions, and track payments inside your Finance dashboard.

This guide shows you how to create and connect your Stripe account in just a few minutes.

🔐 Where to Set Up Stripe

  1. Go to Finance in the main navigation

  2. Click the Settings tab

  3. Scroll to the Stripe section

  4. Click Connect to Stripe

This starts the Stripe Express onboarding flow.

🚀 How to Create Your Stripe Connected Account

Once you click Connect to Stripe, you’ll be taken to a secure Stripe-hosted setup page.

1. Choose “Create a New Account” or Sign In

Stripe will ask whether you want to:

  • Log in to an existing Stripe account, or

  • Create a new Stripe Express account

If you already use Stripe for another business, you may still choose to create a separate account to keep payouts and reporting clean for TalleFlow.

2. Enter Your Business Details

Stripe requires basic business information for verification:

  • Legal business name or DBA

  • Business address

  • Type of business (individual/sole proprietor or LLC/corporation)

  • Industry

  • Website or description of your services

⚠️ Stripe is legally required to verify this information before enabling payouts.

3. Enter Your Personal Details

Stripe collects information about the business owner or controller:

  • Full name

  • Date of birth

  • Last 4 digits of SSN (U.S.)

  • Home address

This is required for identity verification (KYC compliance).

4. Add Your Bank Account for Payouts

Stripe will ask where you want your funds deposited.

You can connect:

  • A checking account

  • A savings account

  • A business account

Payout time depends on Stripe’s schedule (typically 2 business days in the U.S.).

5. Review & Submit

After filling out all details:

  • Review your information

  • Submit to complete onboarding

  • You will be redirected back to TalleFlow automatically

Your TalleFlow workspace will now show that your Stripe account is connected.

🧾 What Happens After Connecting Stripe

Once Stripe is connected:

✔️ You can add a Pay Now button to your invoices

This allows clients to pay securely by credit card.

✔️ Payments appear automatically in your Finance dashboard

You’ll see:

  • Paid invoices

  • Payment timelines

  • Payout status

  • Stripe balance information (in Finance → Balance)

✔️ TalleFlow can generate secure Stripe payment links for every invoice

✔️ Your clients receive a smooth, trusted payment experience

Hosted on Stripe’s secure checkout page.

⚠️ Important Notes

You cannot use the Pay Now button until Stripe is fully set up

If Stripe is not connected:

  • You can still send invoices

  • But payments must be collected manually (cash, check, Venmo, Zelle, etc.)

The Pay Now button will only appear once Stripe setup is complete.

Stripe test mode is not supported

Payments must run in live mode.
Fake cards or test transactions are not available through TalleFlow.

🧪 Troubleshooting

I don’t see the Pay Now button

Check:
Finance → Settings → Stripe
If not connected, complete onboarding.

Stripe rejected my verification

Common reasons:

  • Mismatch between business/legal name

  • Blurry or invalid ID upload

  • Incomplete fields

Follow Stripe’s instructions or update from your Stripe dashboard.

Payouts aren’t arriving

Verify:

  • Bank account information

  • Stripe payout schedule

  • Whether Stripe is holding funds for verification review

💡 Best Practices

  • Use your correct legal business name (matches tax documents)

  • Use a business bank account whenever possible

  • Complete verification promptly to avoid payout delays

  • Keep your Stripe details updated (new bank, change of address, etc.)

  • Turn on email notifications for payments inside TalleFlow
