TalleFlow event moderation is built around reports. Events do not go into a pending state before they go live. Instead, events are visible immediately, and moderation happens when someone reports an event.

This article explains who can moderate, where to find the moderation queue, and how to resolve or dismiss event reports.

Who Can Moderate Community Events

Moderation actions are limited to:

  • Community admins
Can moderate reported events within their own community.

  • TalleFlow admins
Can moderate reported events across all communities, including global events.

Regular community members and event creators cannot resolve or dismiss reports. They can only report events.

How Event Moderation Works

TalleFlow does not require events to be approved before they appear.

Here’s the flow:

  1. Community admins create events
Community events are created by community admins and become visible immediately as public or private.

  2. Anyone can report an event
When someone reports an event, a report is created and placed into the moderation queue.

  3. Moderators review reports
Moderators review reports about events, then either resolve or dismiss the report.

So in TalleFlow, “event moderation” means handling reports about events, not approving events before publication.

Report Statuses

These statuses apply to the report, not the event.

Status

Meaning

Open

The report is waiting for a moderator to review it.

Resolved

A moderator reviewed the report and completed the moderation action (with or without changing the event).

Dismissed

A moderator closed the report without taking action because it did not warrant moderation.

Event visibility is separate. Events are either public or private, and that setting is managed through the event itself.

Where to Find Event Moderation

Moderators manage reports from the Admin area:

  1. Go to Admin (Admin Dashboard)

  2. Open the Moderation tab

  3. Select the Events sub-tab

The Events moderation view shows a list of reports about events, including the report status.

What You’ll See in the Events Moderation Queue

In the Events moderation view, you’ll see:

  • A list of reports about events

  • Event title and basic details

  • Who reported it and the report reason (and optional details, if provided)

  • Current report status (Open, Resolved, Dismissed)

  • When the report was created

Use this queue to decide which reports to review first.

Reviewing Open Reports

For reports with status Open:

  1. Open the report from the Events moderation list

  2. Review the full event details (description, time, visibility) and the report reason

  3. Decide whether the event violates your community guidelines

  4. Choose to Resolve or Dismiss the report

If action is needed on the event, you can remove or edit the event through the normal event management flow (available to community admins and TalleFlow admins).

Resolving a Report

Resolve a report when you’ve reviewed it and are ready to close it out.

  1. Choose Resolve

  2. Optionally add a resolution note

  3. The report status becomes Resolved

TalleFlow records who resolved it and when.

A report can be resolved whether or not you changed the event. The event may still be visible unless you separately remove or edit it.

Dismissing a Report

Dismiss a report when it doesn’t warrant action, such as an invalid or unfounded report.

  1. Choose Dismiss

  2. Optionally add a note

  3. The report status becomes Dismissed

TalleFlow records who dismissed it and when. The event remains unchanged.

Who Can Create and Manage Events

Event creation and moderation are separate.

Community events

  • Only community admins can create, edit, or delete events for their community

  • Regular members cannot create community events

  • Regular members can report events

Global events

  • Any authenticated user can create public global events (not tied to a community)

  • Global events can be reported and will appear in the moderation queue for TalleFlow admins

Audit and Accountability

Moderation actions are logged for transparency. This typically includes:

  • Resolved and dismissed actions

  • Who performed the action

  • When it was performed

  • Optional notes, if provided

This helps teams review how moderation decisions were made over time.

Important Notes

  • Only community admins and TalleFlow admins can access moderation tools and resolve or dismiss reports

  • Events do not have statuses like pending review or approved

  • Statuses apply to reports only: Open, Resolved, Dismissed

  • Event visibility is public or private, and is controlled in the event itself

  • If you need to remove an event after reviewing a report, remove or edit the event through the normal event flow, then resolve the report
