The General settings tab in the Taxi Web Booker portal allows you to configure your company information, integrations, and system preferences. Access this section by navigating to Settings > General in the left sidebar.
Company Information
Configure your basic company details that appear throughout the booking system:
Name - Your company or fleet name
Booking email - Email address where booking notifications are sent
Website - Your company website URL
Phone number - Contact number with country code selector
Address - Your company's street address
Address extra - Additional address details (optional)
City - Your company's city location
Country - Select your country from the dropdown menu
Time zone - Set your operational time zone (e.g., Europe/Amsterdam)
Financial Settings
Configure currency and tax-related settings:
Currency - Select your operational currency (e.g., Euro €)
VAT Type - Choose your VAT configuration
VAT number - Enter your company's VAT registration number
VAT Percentage - Set the standard VAT rate for bookings
VAT percentage for driver settlements - Define VAT rate applied to driver payments
System Preferences
Customize how data is displayed in your system:
Date format - Choose how dates appear (e.g., DD-MM-YYYY)
Clock format - Select 24-hour or 12-hour time display
Distance units - Set measurement units (Metric or Imperial)
Account language - Choose the default language for your account interface
Integrations
Google API Configuration
Enable address search, maps, and routing functionality by configuring your Google Maps API key. Using your own API key linked to a Google billing account helps avoid additional per-job fees and ensures reliable map functionality.
Click Set Up with Google Cloud to configure this integration.
Payment Service Provider
Connect Stripe to collect payments from within your booking tools. Taxi Web Booker Business uses Stripe to process job payments.
The integration status displays as "Not connected" until you click Connect to Stripe to authorize the connection.
Calendar Integration
Connect TaxiWebBooker directly to your Google Calendar to manage jobs as calendar events. This integration allows bookings to automatically appear in your calendar.
Click Connect Google Calendar to authorize the connection.
Driver Calendar
If you're not using Google Calendar integration, use the driver calendar URL in your calendar software to sync future jobs to your calendar. Copy the provided link and add it to your preferred calendar application.
Fleet Management
Delete Fleet
This option allows you to delete your fleet workspace, but only after the license expiration date. The system prevents deletion while an active license is in effect.
Saving Changes
After making any changes to your general settings, click the Update settings button at the bottom of the form to save your configuration.
