Schools often use different terminology for common roles and structures. Teach ’n Go allows you to customise these terms so the platform matches the language used in your organisation.

For example, some schools use teachers, while others prefer tutors or instructors.

Change system terminology

  1. Go to School settings.

  2. Open the Glossary section.

  3. Update the terms you want to change.

  4. Enter both the singular and plural versions of the term.

  5. Click Save.

Terms you can rename

You can customise several commonly used system terms.

Examples include:

  • Class → course, module, programme

  • Lesson → lecture, class, session

  • Student → learner, trainee, pupil

  • Teacher → tutor, instructor

  • Staff → employee, assistant

  • School → academy, college

  • Branch → location, venue

  • Calendar → schedule, timetable

Important notes

  • Both singular and plural forms must be entered so the terms display correctly throughout the system.

  • If a field is left blank, Teach ’n Go will use the default terminology.

Customising terminology helps ensure Teach ’n Go fits naturally into your school’s workflow and reflects the language used by your team and students.
