Use Announcements to communicate with your school community

The Announcements feature in Teach 'n Go, is an effective way to communicate with all your school members. You can send messages to teachers, staff, students and related contacts, and they will receive them on their dashboard within their portal. They can also get a mobile push notification alert with the mobile app downloaded.

Mobile App Notifications

To ensure your school community stays updated with all the latest announcements, please ask them to download the Teach 'n Go mobile app and turn on the mobile push notification to ensure they get the alerts about new announcements.

Sending an Announcement

To send a notification, navigate to the Group Messaging section within Teach 'n Go and select New Message from the top right corner.

From here, you can create a new announcement. You can use the quick select options or search for the relevant people or classes to get the recipients you need to communicate with.

Add your message in the text area and use the tools provided if needed. Images, links and attachments can be added to make your message more dynamic.

There are also a couple of new options that you won't see with the other message types:

  • Scheduled Date: Set a scheduled date in case you want to send the announcement at a set time. Leaving it blank will send the message immediately.

  • Expired Date: It's also possible to set a date when the message expires and no longer shows in the dashboard.

Click the send button when you are ready to send, and the recipients will be able to view the message in the portal, and they will receive a mobile push notification if they have it set up.

Announcements History

You can view the history of all announcements sent from the announcement tab on the history page. This is useful if you need to check who has sent and received announcements.
