Learning stories are a great way to create a learning journey full of learning experiences that children have engaged in. Learning stories are used when you want to share children’s learning with parents and create a summary of children’s activities that can be linked to your curriculum or framework. Learning stories can be created/viewed on the mobile app and via the school interface (web). This article focuses on the mobile app. To learn more about the school interface, click here.
To create a learning story, select the learning story tab in the navigation bar at the bottom of your screen. Tip: if you have been added to multiple rooms, navigate by room using the button at the top left-hand corner of your screen.
Select the green + button at the bottom right-hand corner of your screen to create a learning story. Select next to add images, videos, your chosen curriculum or to make the story visible to parents. Parents visibility can be changed at any time.
Press ‘Publish’ to save. To save as a draft, select the back button at the top of your screen and select ‘save as draft.’
To download a report for a learning story, select the learning story button and then select the report button at the top right hand-corner of your screen (see image below).
Tip: A quick way to send videos, images, special moments or reminders to parents is by using instant messaging or the daily records feature.
