Create a learning story or download reports

Learning stories on the mobile app.

Updated over a week ago

Learning stories are a great way to create a learning journey full of learning experiences that children have engaged in. Learning stories are used when you want to share children’s learning with parents and create a summary of children’s activities that can be linked to your curriculum or framework. Learning stories can be created/viewed on the mobile app and via the school interface (web). This article focuses on the mobile app. To learn more about the school interface, click here.

  • To create a learning story, select the learning story tab in the navigation bar at the bottom of your screen. Tip: if you have been added to multiple rooms, navigate by room using the button at the top left-hand corner of your screen.

  • Select the green + button at the bottom right-hand corner of your screen to create a learning story. Select next to add images, videos, your chosen curriculum or to make the story visible to parents. Parents visibility can be changed at any time.

  • Press ‘Publish’ to save. To save as a draft, select the back button at the top of your screen and select ‘save as draft.’

  • To download a report for a learning story, select the learning story button and then select the report button at the top right hand-corner of your screen (see image below).

Tip: A quick way to send videos, images, special moments or reminders to parents is by using instant messaging or the daily records feature.
