Administrators: Individual and Group Messaging

When using the chat section on the educator app, the Individual and/or group messaging system can be disabled or enabled by the administrator. The group messaging system on the app, enables everyone in the group to see all messages sent. The group functionality on the app is auto disabled. Click disabled above to learn how to disable or enable it.

I am an administrator, how do I send messages via TeachKloud Web?

The administrator, can send broadcast or individual messages, using TeachKloud web management interface > messages > send message. Broadcasts, cannot be replied to by parents.

How do I see messages sent by my staff?

Note: Administrators can see all messages sent between parents/staff: TeachKloud web interface > messages > teachers messages.

I am an Educator, how do I use the chat section?

The below details how to use instant-messaging via the TeachKloud: Childcare App. Watch the video or read the instructions below.

  • To send a message to parents, select the instant messaging button (bubble icon – bottom of your screen). Click here to see how the parent app works.

  • Parents can reply and create new messages using the parent mobile app.

Tip: If you have been invited to different rooms, select the room you’d like to view using the button in the top right corner of your screen.

  • Select the name of the parent you wish to send the message to or select a room name (in pink) to send a group message to all parents in the selected room. Remember: If you do not want group messages enabled via the app, you can disable this from the school interface > messages section. Even if group messages are disabled, bulk messages can still be sent via the interface but will deliver as individual messages.

  • Send images, videos or pdf files by selecting the camera button on the left-hand side of your screen.

Tip: select the name of the parent (top corner of the screen below) to view their contact details and child’s information
