Overview

We've released a number of exciting features this month in TeamOhana, with many more to come over the next few weeks.

In addition to some in-app enhancements, like annualizing compensation on the headcount ledger and allowing users to invite reporting managers to TeamOhana from the hiring plan, we've launched Microsoft Login, unlocking a seamless login experience for our customers with Microsoft accounts.

We have also improved and re-released the internal transfers workflow, integrating the backfill creation process and introducing an approval flow for employee movement.

More information about these new features, as well as some other exciting updates from our community below!

New features

Revamped internal transfers workflow

TeamOhana's new internal transfers workflow provides the following benefits to your organization:

  • The hiring plan stays up to date: roles that are filled by internal transfers are marked as 'closed'

  • All budget and forecast impacts are automatically reconciled

  • Upon creating an internal transfer, users are able to immediately create a backfill for the transferring employee

With the new workflow, internal transfers will also go through an approval process, ensuring that all of your budget-impacting workforce changes have sign-off from all key stakeholders.

Read more about the new and improved internal transfers workflow in the help center article here.

Log in with Microsoft

Before we shipped this update, TeamOhana customers with Microsoft email accounts had to log into the system by entering their email address and password.

With this release, those customers can now link their Microsoft account to TeamOhana to enable a seamless login experience, simply by clicking the "Continue with Microsoft Account" button on the login page.

Enhancements

  • Employee compensation is annualized on the headcount ledger, regardless of employee pay frequency

  • Employee pay rate and frequency is captured on their profile in TeamOhana

  • Reporting managers can be invited to TeamOhana from the hiring plan if they are not already TeamOhana users
