Learn how to manage conflicts for time off or clashing shifts

Updated over 3 months ago

Conflicts are indicators within the schedule which tell you when a shift is conflicting with a surfer's time off, time in lieu or another shift.

If there is a conflict you will see a small red exclamation mark in the right hand corner of the shift.

If you click on the shift block you'll see what the conflict is and be able to choose whether to ignore the conflict or revert the change. If you revert the change, this will swap the shift back to previously applied shift.

When might conflicts happen?

Conflicts can happen if:

  • You apply a shift plan over the top of manually added or edited shifts. You can choose to ignore the conflict or revert the change.

  • A surfer has time off when they're planned to have a shift. You can ignore the conflict.

  • A surfer has time in lieu when they're planned to have a shift. You can ignore the conflict.
