What are Asset Events?

Events let you keep track of key dates for each asset. You can see them in the asset’s Dates tab and on the calendar view.

Event Types

  1. General Events (blue)

    • Use for reminders or notes about your asset.

    • Can run for a specific time or be set as all-day / multi-day.

    • Add a subject and notes to give context.

    • Editable and deletable at any time.

  2. Unavailable to Operate Events (green)

    • Use when an asset is out of service.

    • Works the same way as a General event (date range, notes, etc.).

  3. Expiry Events (red)

    • Use to track important expiry dates like MOT Expiry or Insurance Expiry.

    • Always linked to a single date (no time of day).

    • Only the current expiry date shows—when you update with a new expiry, the old one is replaced.

    • Can be managed in the Expiry Dates section of the Dates tab or directly in the calendar.

  4. PMI Inspection Events (yellow)
