Follow these recommended steps to plan Alert Zones for use when hazards are present within the safe working limits.
💡 Important information: Currently, the Alert Zone feature provides Dashboard only alerts and does not alert the devices.

Create exclusion zones for:
Japanese knotweed
Electrical hazards
Red ivy
Giant hogweed
Please note: you should have the site's safe zones created before adding alert zones. Alert zones can be added to an existing site, or a separate site can be created for alert zones only.
Step-by-step guide
Log in to the Tended Dashboard and head to the correct site planning page
Add Alert zones to an existing site
Or, create a new site to keep Alert zones separate*
Search for your site location in the search bar at the top left of the screen
Click the alert zone icon from the left side of the screen. This is a box with an "!" inside
Draw your Alert zone by clicking around the exclusion area on the map
When finished, a menu will pop up from the left of the screen for you to set the Alert zone information
"Basics" tab:
Enter the alert zone name
Choose the zone colour
Optionally add notes
"Alerting" tab:
Optionally choose if you want the RAG view to alert the Dashboard user if a device approaches this Alert zone
Set a distance from the outer alert zone edge you'd like the RAG view to alert at
When you're happy with the Alert zone settings, click "Done"
From the map views, you can click on the Alert zone and the information set will show on screen.
