Asset types allow you to:
Plan the location of site equipment on your site map
Compare the actual location versus the planned location of an asset it has been synced too
For example: you may want to indicate where a marker board is expected to be and compare its actual placement. Or maybe you just want to highlight on your site plan where the safe access point entrance is.
There are currently two ways to create a new asset icon type, depending on if you are an Admin or Superadmin:
Create an asset type as an Admin
Please note: This method can be used by Admins or Superadmins.

Log in to your Tended Dashboard.
Click on the "Projects" tab at the top of the screen.
Either find the project you want to create the asset type for and click "View Project" or click "Start a new project".
You should now be at the project overview page. To add asset types you need to open a site.
Either add a new site by clicking "Create site" and fill out the details.
Or edit an existing site by clicking the "Edit site" button. A window will pop up, click ''Next step"
You should now see the edit site page. Click "Add asset" in the bottom left corner.
Here you can view existing asset types. Click the "+" button in the top right corner to create a new asset icon.
A new modal will pop up. Here you can type the name of your asset, and pick the colour and icon.
Type the name of your asset type. For example, this could be a marker board, a piece of equipment or site access point.
Pick the colour of your asset This is the colour it will show as on your site planning map within the Dashboard. You can click a preset colour, or press the "+" to choose via a dropper or type a hex or RBG code.
Finally, pick an icon. This is how the asset type will show on your site planning map within the Dashboard.
Click "Save asset type" in the bottom right once you're happy.
You can now view your new asset type from the list within your site page, and add the markers to the site or assign them to Wearables.
Create an asset type as a Superadmin
Please note: you can only access the following settings page as a Superadmin.
You can also create an asset type within your organisation settings. Only a Superadmin can create an asset type from this page.
Log in to your Tended Dashboard.
Click "Settings" in the left-hand sidebar. Then click on the "Asset types" tab across the top.
Click "Create new asset type".
A new modal will pop up. Here you can type the name of your asset, and pick the colour and icon.
